Holiday HOME safety tips
Don’t overload plug sockets with Christmas lights/plugs…
Put lights/ television on timers – make it appear that your home is not vacant
Lock your vehicle when leaving outside… don’t leave any valuables in sight in the vehicle.
Keep ladders locked in your garage
Don’t advertise/post new purchases or gifts
Gifts should not be visible through windows and doors of your home
Keep your doors and windows locked…day and night
Dashing through the snow..O’er the hills we go….
Have a trusted friend or neighbor take care of your home. Do not cancel deliveries such as mail, newspapers
Ask your local police to issue a vacation watch or directed patrol for your home
